Healthy Paws Complete Diets (12 x 8 oz Patties) are formulated to provide a complete and balanced diet. This product is available in 7 different proteins and in 3 different variety packs to provide diversity to your dog's diet.

Each formula is based on a minimum 85/15 ratio of meat to fruit/vegetable blend. We have also added ground kelp and cold water fish oil to ensure the proper levels of Omega 3 and 6 as well as trace minerals. In non-avian protein formulas we have added raw bone powder to provide the correct levels and ratios of calcium and phosphorus.

All of our meat human-grade, contains no preservatives and is hormone and antibiotic free.

Each box contains 12 individually vacuum sealed 8 oz patties to preserve freshness as well as to provide a convenient way to handle the product for thawing and serving.

Venison

Our Venison formula contains venison trim, hearts and organs from farm raised elk in the foothills of Alberta. It is raised without the use of antibiotics or hormones. Whenever possible, the vegetables and fruits we use are purchased weekly from local suppliers. Our kelp is sourced from the shores of Nova Scotia and our fish oil is a blend of sardine and herring oil from the North Atlantic.

Elk meat is a fast growing protein as it has many health advantages over other red meats. It is a very lean meat containing lower fat levels, particularly cholesterol versus other red meats and is a favourite meal choice for those pet owners who are looking for a beef alternative due to any allergy issues. Elk is rich in Vitamin B, phosphorus, zinc and iron and low in sodium.

Lamb

Our Lamb formula contains lamb trim and organs sourced from a small producer north of Toronto. The lamb is completely antibiotic and hormone free. Whenever possible, the vegetables and fruits we use are purchased weekly from local suppliers. Our kelp is sourced from the shores of Nova Scotia and our fish oil a is blend of sardine and herring oil from the North Atlantic.

Lamb contains high levels of zinc and iron and are more easily absorbed than from other sources. Iron is vital for the formation of red blood cells and zinc is essential for growth, healing and a healthy immune system. Lamb is also a good source of B Vitamins (B12), essential for metabolic reactions.

Bison

Our Bison formula contains extra lean muscle trim, hearts, livers and kidneys sourced from Bison farms based in Quebec. The Bison are grass fed and live in open ranges and contain no antibiotics or hormones. Whenever possible, the vegetables and fruits we use are purchased weekly from local suppliers. Our kelp is sourced from the shores of Nova Scotia and our fish oil is a blend of sardine and herring oil from the North Atlantic.

Bison mince is a good source of various minerals and is nutrient dense because of the proportion of protein, fat, minerals, and vitamins compared to its caloric value. It is lower in sodium, higher in iron, and moderate in zinc compared to other domestic meats. Bison meat is ideal for a lower fat diet and is the perfect alternative to other red meats.

Healthy Paws was inspired by the principles of the “biologically appropriate diet” created by the renowned veterinarian, Dr. Ian Billinghurst. He observed the health benefits for dogs and cats fed a diet of food in its natural state verses a diet of cooked or processed foods containing additives and supplements.

At Healthy Paws, we continually refine this concept through collaboration with our consumers, retailers and trained pet nutritionists. We also offer a variety of simple minced proteins, bones, and natural dietary supplements.
